About MSS

MSS was set up by Nick Hamilton, an ex army officer who has considerable experience of yacht racing in both UK and international waters. In particular Nick wanted to make sure that when anyone got into difficulties with their boat, they could call upon a service which not only understood boats and sailing but could deliver whatever help they needed quickly and with no fuss.

Now part of HBG Assistance (the UK’s leading specialist assistance service) MSS is truly a nationwide assistance service for boats and sailors. We have a dedicated team who are experts at dealing with all aspects of the service you may need, from incident management in our control centre to the customer care and accounts support. We aim to take the stress away from you – one call to us and the problem is solved. Behind the scenes is a high-tech state of the art control centre, sophisticated communications working with highly complex and bespoke software. This enables us to control and co-ordinate all the resources we need to help you whilst linking it to our “back office”.
